Would a really sweet and totally accurate physics engine really add much to the addictive gameplay of world-carving indie hit Minecraft? Perhaps not, but this build and destroy demo—"Minecraft + Physics!"—according to its creator would certainly make it easier on the eyes. More »
the blocks still float in the air without support. I'm pretty sure that's not accurate physics

The 3DS was apparently already cracked within 24 hours of release, and it's now supposedly running piracy devices. Isn't Nintendo going to do anything? You betcha. More »
They only worry about that because it legitimizes the use of homebrew devices. Nintendo needs to realize that today is not like it was in NES days. Compare Nintendo's DSiWare Shop to Apple's App Store. Apple encourages anyone to make apps/games with cheap dev tools. Nintendo charges like 10 grand for a dev kit, if you are deemed worthy enough to buy one. Apple doesn't really care about piracy. Nintendo goes to great lengths to thwart piracy, even if it harms those who are just want to dabble in game development.
Guess who is going to lead the next generation of mobile gaming.

Tomorrow will mark my one week anniversary of owning a Nintendo 3DS. I'm happy with the handheld — it's a peach. However, six days in, and I've already ditched the 3D. I loathe it, and it's a feature I can do without. More »
That is disappointing. I wonder if Nintendo could sell a cheaper 3DS without 3D.

VIDEO GAMES NEED TO BE LIKE MOVIES SO WE MAKE MORE MONIES BAWWWWWWW
Nintendo Wii fans got a huge game last May in the form of Super Mario Galaxy 2, but chances for an imminent release of the next Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, dimmed when Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime told Kotaku today that we'd find out more about the game at E3. The E3 gaming event happens June 7-9 this year. If Zelda news is part of that event, the game's coming out afterward. It has no official release date. More »
