This shows some promise.

It's a sort of Minecraft/Terraria/Fort Wars game, but they appear to be pushing the boudaries somewhat. Little rough around the edges from the looks of the video, but nothing particularly hard to fix. I'm gonna download their current release and see how well it plays.

I'm excited, not only for how *crag*ing awesome this game looks but the fact it's already leagues better than minecraft in every way possible.

A braindead ape could make something better than Minecraft, however it goes against both side of the industry:
1. Companies know it'll be the death of them if they make a game people will play indefinitely
2. Indie *crag*s are too lazy to do it. Or scared by the minecraft cultists.
Looks neat though. Inb4 cultists tell the creators Notch will sue them.

I'm also shocked someone realized they could make all THREE dimensions infinite. I was starting to think game developers just weren't capable of comprehending that.

Sure hope reddit doesn't *crag* this up.

Well tails they were going to anyway but now you just jinxed us.

how would they ruin it? can't we just make our own server and continue to ignore reddit's existence?

"continue to ignore reddit's existence?"

That never worked with Ace of Spades or Minecraft. StarForge looks promising enough, though, to where I think they'll keep on the right track. Goddamn this game looks amazing.

I hope they stop using the completely physics-based movement
honestly it doesn't work
Reply by Slim Jun 02 2012 06:34 GMT
...that doesn't make sense
moving requires the laws of physics?

play it and you'll see what I mean
unless you consider jumping straight up 10 feet in the air and clipping through anything you bump into alright
Reply by Slim Jun 02 2012 07:56 GMT
that just sounds like broken physics to me

I don't think that the physics-based movement needs removing, rather it just needs some improvement - this is still a very early build of the game, they have plenty of time to get all the problems worked out.
