This isn't the big deal they try to make it out to be. The Wii's install base is mostly casual gamers and young children as we all already know. These are the people who don't buy games when they come out, of course the sales would go up in December. MW2 shot it's load in November. People don't rebuy games.
They also conveniently left out PC sales even though the do a combined total, because apparently those don't count anymore.

well Reggie did say NSMB would outperform individual versions of MW2 by the end of January. It needs to outsell the 360 version by 2.62 million this month for that to happen.
