Any alley brawler worth his or her salt knows that when it comes to succeeding at Street Fighter IV, a standard controller doesn't really cut it. You can try and hold out on purchasing a custom-tailored joystick, but consider yourself warned: Capcom and Mad Catz are trying very, very hard to break your spirit. Earlier today, the peripheral manufacturer announced "Round 2" of its line of FightPads and a brand new FightStick, all of which will be dropping later this fall. At $149.99, you'd have to be a fighting game fanatic to shell out for the Tournament Edition FightStick -- though that black and white motif is strangely alluring. You're more likely to spring for the $39.99 FightPads, each of which feature a design based on one of the game's characters. We'd be remiss if we didn't point out that the placement of the Start and Select buttons on the Crimson Viper FightPad is, well ... unfortunate.

Sony Europe announced today that its PlayStation Blog format has been localized for German- and Italian-speaking audiences. The two new sites will likely translate much of the content found on the English site, with extra posts that will be specific for the region covered. For Italiano -- blog.it.playstation.com For Deutsch -- blog.de.playstation.com For Spanish and French -- Ummmm... The French and Spanish blogs will allegedly launch "very soon." Considering significant portions of North America speak both of those languages, it'll be interesting to see if the US PlayStation Blog utilizes those translations.

TMNT: Turtles in Time is the best arcade/console turtles game of all-time. I think it earns that tag easily. It also happens to have one of the worst boxarts on the SNES, but that makes the game that much better!

The Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead has received a title update. One visible effect of the patch is that total number of Achievements on the Achievement screen has been updated from 50 to 60. (You'll also notice that this blogger's point total was knocked down to zero. It's not that low, I swear.) The Infected HUD has also been improved to include special attack timers for each member of the Infected team. Very handy if you want to know when your best buddy will be able to spew on the hapless victim you've just ensnared. More than likely, the update is being rolled out in preparation for the impending "Crash Course" DLC, which is rumored to release September 23 (a.k.a. "tomorrow"). [Thanks, CJ. Via Hell Descent]

This awesome Pac-Man record sleeve was created by design firm ‘Design By Bake’, and was made for a band/album that doesn’t exist. If you’re wondering, the band/album name is “Under the Cosh – No Friend of Mine”.

For those looking for just one more way to celebrate the release of Halo 3: ODST, we've got some good news. A premium ODST theme is available now on Xbox Live Marketplace. The theme obviously offers up some art from Halo 3: ODST, but also lets you surround the poor souls on your friends list with menacing Brutes. Best of all, the theme is free for Gold members (unlike the grotesquely expensive Sgt. Johnson). Go ahead, add it to your download queue and complete the ODST experience. Be sure to check out Joystiq's Halo 3: ODST Review, as well as in-depth analysis of the Campaign and Firefight games modes and our Skull Location video guide.

Horse Racing I don’t knwo about you, but I think I could get interested in a few horse racing games. I know that a couple have come over to the states, but it’s nothing like what goes on in Japan. I wonder why North America doesn’t really care for the sport.

The Beatles: Rock Band SingStar bundle has arrived at UK retailers for £49.99 ($81.87). Only after being half-announced by MTV Games, showing up on an Australian retailer website, and then vaguely detailed in a press release from today, are we able to bring you this news. Is it coming to other territories? That's a good question! We asked EA, who gave us a laundry list of launch dates for various European and African countries (listed after the break). Unfortunately, we were told that the exclusion of North America from the list means that the publisher currently has no intention of bringing the microphone bundle Stateside. Sorry, aspiring North American crooners!
