Could this downloadable game become the new ruler of the surprisingly popular genre? Find out in the official GameTrailers review of the puzzle RPG video game, Gyromancer.
If you like the idea of the 360 Live iPhone app, which allows you to sign into your Xbox Live account and manage it on the go, you'd better drop your two dollars into the App Store (link) right now. Creator Xavier Larrea has informed us that, unsurprisingly, Microsoft has asked Apple to remove the program, citing the non-commercial usage restriction -- in other words, the company isn't happy about the app's not-free cost.
Larrea is complying with the request (meaning that it's on the way out), but notes that the app will continue to work for those who have already downloaded it.

Apparently the guys at High Voltage are saying that some firmware upgrades are on their way. I guess we’ll have to see what happens in the next week or so! Thanks to Prem for the heads up!
Lost Planet 2 may be produced in Japan by Japanese developers at a Japanese company, but it's rooted in Western design philosophies -- namely, the art of shooting. In a Capcom published developer interview, producer Jun Takeuchi explained the company's marketing strategies in and outside of Japan.
"In foreign countries that account for a large share of sales," Takeuchi said, "we are going to rely on the brand recognition of Lost Planet and emphasize the new features in the game, as well as four player co-op mode." To emphasize the parts of the game that Japanese gamers might be more interested in, Takeuchi suggested, "we're going to focus on pushing the concept of 'enjoying four player co-op mode' instead of the fact that this game is an action shooter." In other words, Capcom's hoping to make Lost Planet 2 sound as much like Monster Hunter as possible.
Additionally, as part of its "Single Content Multiple Usage" multimedia initiative, Takeuchi said that Capcom may extend Lost Planet to manga as a promotional tool in Japan.
Given that The Conduit was neither a commercial nor critical success, you may have passed on the once hyped shooter from High Voltage, as apparently, many have. NewEgg looks to be clearing out some end-of-year inventory and those boxes of The Conduit have got to go! For a mere $12 (shipping's free), the game's yours and, while not the best bang for your buck, the bargain buy could be justified in so much as The Conduit represents a valiant, if flawed effort to build a sound FPS for Wii hardware. Or, maybe you're just looking for a cheap gift for your little bro -- bingo! This is it.

Since it's late October launch, Forza 3 has sped into over 1 million homes worldwide, marking a commercial milestone for Turn 10's critically acclaimed racer. In conjunction with today's release of the game's second and now premium DLC car pack (the first one's always free, ain't it?), dubbed "Hot Holidays," Microsoft has tallied up some Forza 3 stats.
According to the publisher, players have so far tracked 6.6 million hours and 590 million collective miles -- no word on flats or oil changes. Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg tweets that "more than 4M [million] auction bids" have lead to "$18.7 billion" virtual dollars spent (we have to imagine at least a billion went to that gorgeous coop pictured above). Of course, Microsoft has it's eye on the real dollars, offering today's 10-car pack for 400 ($5). The full list of cars is posted after the break.
Additionally, a second premium pack has been confirmed for January 12, and -- wouldn't you know it -- that date coincides with the kick-off of the Detroit International Auto Show. Huh, you think that was planned?
One of the more convenient (and pricey) methods for games acquisition -- Microsoft's Games on Demand service -- has just added a pair of new titles to its North American library: Disney's Bolt and EA's Trivial Pursuit. Each can be yours for $19.99, granted you have the respective 5GB and 2GB of space for each. Prices and availability vary by region, but the insatiable, shameless desire for Achievements that would drive you to actually purchase these games is universal.
