This is a documentary that is under 5 minutes long, and it’s absolutely amazing. I really wish we could see a full-length documentary on the subject of booth babes. Trust me, this one is really entertaining, over in the blink of an eye, and it will really inform you on the not-so-glamorous world [...]

We’ve talked about the HitMaster stage speaker in the past, but it looks like Polk has given it an update for its CES debut. From what I can see, the only real difference I can see is the ‘HitMaster’ logo on the top. Other than that, it looks pretty much the same! I guess [...]

I'm assuming you're pointing out similarities to Left 4 Dead characters. Yes, it is quite creepy.

An article in Nintendo Power (Vol. 131 April 2000) concerning Mario Party… How hysterical is that?! Nintendo had yet to experience their major health complaints with the Wii, but they were still conscious back in the day! Thanks to Ryan for the heads up.

After a successful partnership on XBLA/PSN release Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (breath), Udon Entertainment and Capcom are once again working together, though this time the Street Fighter comic book artists are adding endings to upcoming Wii fighter Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. Despite Udon's pedigree, the announcement post remains overwhelmingly humble, saying, "Everyone at Udon is very proud to have contributed to such an epic piece of video game and anime history." We haven't gotten our hands on any screens of the endings just yet, but we'll be sure to give you a gander as soon as we do. [Via Capcom-Unity]

A gaming blog by the name of Coffee with Games recently noticed a disturbing trend on Amazon -- Metroid Prime Trilogy was no longer being stocked first-hand by the online retailer. The blog contacted Nintendo to find out why the game ... err, three games weren't being sold on the site anymore, and reportedly received the following response: "Unfortunately, Metroid Prime Trilogy is no longer being shipped. Having said that, you may be able to find what you seek through the secondhand video game market." We've contacted Nintendo to get our own confirmation first-hand of this troubling report. You can fully expect us to fall to our knees, and belt out a resounding "Whyyyyyyyyyy!" should we succeed in doing so. [Via Go Nintendo]

Update: We've closed the comments and will contact a winner this week. Check the email tied to your commenter name!Do you like action figures, t-shirts, and books? Good, then we've got just the thing for you. Darksiders has been keeping us occupied ever since its somewhat bizarre release date of January 5, so we'd like to pass this newfound addiction straight on to you, the reader. You can outfit yourself with a War action figure (complete with his lovely, flowing, white locks and his megasword Chaoseater), a sweet Darksiders t-shirt (size large), and a hardbound Darksiders art book that'll tell you everything you need to know about the game. Wait, what's this? You want the game, too? A toy, a garment, and some reading material won't do it for you? Fine. We'll also toss in a PS3 copy of the game, free from all of the glitchified bugs tearing up the Xbox 360 version. To enter, just tell us what you'd name your own ginormous, soul-devouring sword Leave a comment telling us what moniker you'd apply to your own giant sword. You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the US or Canada (excluding Quebec, because of something Clint Hocking said -- at least that's what we heard). Limit 1 entry per person per day This entry period ends at 11:31AM ET on Sunday, January 10. At that time, we'll randomly select one winner to receive one copy of Darksiders for PS3 ($59.99 ARV), one Darksiders t-shirt, size large ($10 ARV), one Darksiders art book ($14.99 ARV), and one action figure featuring War from Darksiders ($19.99 ARV). Fun fact: We like to describe the pacing of a game's action on a scale composed of Brass-centric Americana music standards. For example, the speed of Modern Warfare 2 is moderate, yet fairly steady. In other words, it's normally set to "Spanish Flea," by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Unfortunately, wily hackers have gotten their hands on the game once again, cranking that speed up a few dozen notches to Boots Randolph's "Yakety Sax." Check out the video after the jump to see the hyperspeed gunfighting in action. We managed to get into one of these hacked games during a Headquarters match last night on Xbox Live, and while it may look like fun, it feels a lot like you're speed skating the entire time. As you might imagine, that makes shooting near-impossible -- but it makes the ever-whimsical "Sax" all the more appropriate. [Via Xbox 360 Digest]

Oh god, I was in a bunch of these servers yesterday, it made domination impossible because we would slide off the positions, and of course shooting was impossible unless you had a shotgun (Which I was smart enough to equip before the game started) or if you knifed. and whatever I did I would always go to one of these.

In a recent interview with AvPGalaxy, Rebellion Studios' Martin Kennedy and Alex Moore openly spoke their minds regarding last month's Australian ratings fiasco with Aliens vs. Predator before revealing news of an upcoming demo for the game. "People who want the game will get [it] imported, it's not going to hurt us ... if anything it's been a bit of decent publicity," Kennedy said. "We're not going to water down the game for countries that can't treat adults like adults," continued Moore. Moore even went as far as to compare Australia's ban-happy government (as of late, at least) to past situations with Germany. "Germany's always one of those places that we've known it was going to be difficult because the first one [game] got banned in Germany as well." When pressed on the subject of a demo, however, the duo were more careful in their wording. "There will be a demo ...that's all we can say," Moore confirmed. Considering the game is still on schedule for an "early 2010" release (maybe February?), we're hoping that the demo will be arriving sooner rather than later.

Get to Know Your Tools

So you want to get good at playing the Infected in Left 4 Dead 2 eh? Well, you're going to have to start wtih the basics. Left 4 Dead 2 is somewhat unique in the fact that you have no real influence over what you will be playing outside of when you die and what else is in play. You can use these factors to your advantage to get a certain Infected, but we'll cover that later. First, let's cover the basic abilities, damage potentials, and the various other stats that your favorite undead crew has to offer you.

The Hunter

-250 Health
-Pounces onto a single surive to claw at them for5 damage per hit.
-Can do initial pounce damage up to 25 points based on distance.
-Knocks away Surivors around target being pounced on.
-Random chance to perform a back roll and be ready to pounce again when being knocked off a Survivor
-Makes a screeching noise when jumping or looking at a survivor while crouched. Makes a low growling sound while crouched. No sound while standing.
-Does a 6 damage claw attack, being beaten in melee only by the Charger and Tank.

The Boomer

-50 Health , the lowest of the regular Special Infected.
-Sprays a horde attracting puke on Surviors.
-Explodes when he dies. Sprays puke everywhere which can trigger a horde and knocks Survivors and Gas Cans back.
-Another horde cannot be summoned on the same player until the purple aura dissappears.
-2 damage claw attack.
-Common Infected summoned do 2 damage per attack.
-Constantly makes a gurgling noise. Makes a unique noise when spraying and clawing.

The Smoker

-250 Health
-Can "snipe" Survivors with his tongue from a significant distance to drag them until caught on an object or reaching the Smoker.
-Let's go over Survivor when tongue is broken by damage or the Survivor is melee'd.
-Survior that is being pulled as a short window of time in which they can shot at the Smoker before being rendered helpless.
-Does 3 damage while dragging, and 6 when the Survior is caught.
-Leaves a smoke cloud when killed which slightly impairs vision of Survivors. This cloud floats around him and can reveal his location if he is not hidden well.
-Does 2-3 damage claw attack.
-Constantly coughing. Makes a unique noise when sniping and clawing.

The Jockey

-325 Health
-Can ride a Survivor determining their direction. The Survivor can resist this by moving the opposite direction, but it does little more than slow the Jockey down.
-Can jump onto the Survivor's head from the ground, or fall onto it from above.
-Knocks Survivors around the target away when he latches on.
-Does 3 damage per hit while riding the Survivor.
-3 damage claw attack.
-If a Hunter pounces on his target it instantly refill's the Jockey's meter allowing him to strike again immediately
-Constantly laughs. Has a unique sound for riding and clawing.

The Charger

-600 Health, the highest of the regular Special infected.
-Can charge at a Survivor and pick them up to carry them with him. Stops when he reaches an obstacle and begins pounding the Survivor into the ground. Does not have to hit the target head on to pick them up. He can easily charge a Survivor off the side of a building or into water for instant death.
-The Charge sends any other nearby Survivors sprawling, sometimes off a ledge to their death.
-Does 10 damage to the Survivor when it hits a wall, and 15 with each pound.
-Has a 10 damage clawing attack, the highest besides the Tank.
-The only regular Special Infected who can not be stopped by melee bashing.
-Makes a constant mooing or mule like noise. Unique noise for charging and clawing.

The Spitter

-100 Health
-Can shot a glob of acid that spreads out and damage any Survivors that stand in it. The Infected version of a Molotov.
-If it hits a vertical surface it slides down until it hits a horizontal one.
-Damage is based upon how long a Survivor stands in it, ranging from 1 to 3 damage per second.
-When the Spitter dies it leaves a small acid spot where it stood.
-There is no distance limitation for the spit.
-The spit can destroy Gas Cans and cause them to catch fire. This is the only reliable way for Infected to destroy Gas Cans, making the Spitter the most valuable Infected in Scavenge.
-2 damage claw attack. (I need to confirm this.)
-Constanty making a hacking noise. Unique noise for spitting and clawing.

The Tank

*Tank strategy will be covered in a separate section from the other Special Infected, as his RAGE! meter limits his tactics to pure damage dealing.

-8000 Health
-Does 24 damage per hit.
-Can throw a projectile concrete slab. These can be shot down by Survivors.
-Can hit cars and other objects to fling them at Survivors. This can be DEVASTATING to a Survivor team if they are close together.
-Survivors can move faster than you at green health while shooting you.
-Survivors will ALWAYS try to burn your with Molotovs which will bring about a quick end for you. Watch out for this.
-If you do not have the Survivors in your sights or don't attack them, you will slowly lose control of the Tank. If you do not remedy this another player will take control of this. There is a brief pause when this happens when the Tank is completely vulnerable.
-Constanly growling and roaring. Causes the ground to shake. Has special music for his approach.
