If you're only interested in playing as and competing with EA Sports MMA's bulkiest brawlers, you'll want to closely examine the image above, which contains all members of the upcoming fighting game's heavyweight roster. There's a few memorable faces on there, like Randy Couture, and Ken Shamrock, and Jason Statham, and Jason Statham, and also Tattooed Jason Statham.

You caught us -- truth be told, very few of the fighters seen above are Jason Statham ... though we're certain they could at least place in the top three should they participate in some sort of local lookalike contest. Click past the jump for a handy diagram revealing their true identities.

Before pixel-art virtuoso Paul Robertson and chiptune geniuses Ananamanaguchi gave Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game its distinctive style, it wore its influences on its sleeve.

In this early pitch video made for Ubisoft (after the break), the game features pretty much direct parodies of Sonic the Hedgehog, Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man 2, set to chip covers of songs by the White Stripes, Smashing Pumpkins and the Ramones.

But even in this early stage, it's clear that the designers at Ubisoft had a handle on what they wanted to make, in terms of gameplay. And it's even clearer that this game was born out of genuine enthusiasm for both the comic source and the history of gaming.

This news is something Naughty Bear's title star can finally be happy about. A2M and 505 Games is releasing DLC for the stuffed animal murder simulator today on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. In the new "Episode 8," Naughty Bear receives an invite to a cake tasting party. But is it a trap? (Spoiler: It most certainly is!)

In the episode, you'll have to fight against X-Bears, a "gang of superhero bears led by Danger Bear." You'll be able to unlock additional costumes, hats, weapons and challenges in an "originally themed environment" -- something the original game was sorely lacking. With a rather attractive cost of entry ($0), the DLC is certainly worth checking out, provided you can bear to play any more.

What's happening in the screenshot above is one of the elements that makes Shaun White Skateboarding stand apart from the likes of Tony Hawk and EA's Skate 3. By doing tricks and generally skateboarding really well, you're transforming the game world from one that's monochromatic and lifeless into an eye-popping technicolor wonderland. Yes, it's pretty much like when Dorothy opens her front door after landing in Oz.

This part of the game came into play the moment I picked up the controller for my recent (and our first) hands-on with SWS on HD consoles. Something as simple as performing an ollie sends out a shockwave that brings color back to the surrounding world. It's not just about changing the look of the world, though, but its design as well.

Namco Bandai's latest Ace Combat game, headed to PS3 and Xbox 360 next year, adds something new to the formula that's sure to please people who really hate airplanes. According to the press release, Ace Combat Assault Horizon "intensifies the franchise, escalating combat to the next level with aircraft that are literally torn apart, spewing oil and debris across the sky."

This game represents a "rebirth of our premiere franchise," said Project Aces producer Kazutoki Kono. What better way to bring it back than with airplane mutilation? The trailer (after the break) also makes references to real-world locations like Miami, and cites GeoEye map data, suggesting that this game is following the flight path set forth by the PSP's Joint Assault. Also, there's a shoutout to Namco Bandai's Twitter account for some reason.
