Again, I don’t know if this will be relevant to the Wii or DS games. I’m sure they’ll have some voicework, and hopefully the same talent has been used in all versions. This trailer showcases all versions of the game at the end, which makes me a little hopeful.

For some, the sound of one person banging on a plastic drum peripheral just isn't enough. Two? Not gonna cut it. Now four, that might get the decibel level high enough. Good thing, then, that Namco Bandai's next Taiko Drum Master game for Wii, Taiko Drum Master Wii: Everyone Party, will let four players cooperate and compete simultaneously when it launches in Japan on December 2.

In addition to the traditional song-playing modes, the game will sport several party minigames, including battling against crocodiles, fighting ghosts and collecting treasure while combating a giant squid. (We made one of those up.*)

*No we didn't

Again, I’m going to have to give this one to the N64. It all has to do with the leap in technology. From the Super Nintendo to the N64 is a huge leap, and while we might think the graphics are crap by today’s standards, back then it was bleeding-edge tech for a [...]

If you've got a penchant for giving your boring, monotonous daily maneuvers wildly eccentric titles like "Flying Eagle Bagel Spread" or "Tsunami Power Work Commute," you seem like the perfect candidate for Atlus' newest promotion. All you have to do is check out a few videos from some heretofore nameless special attacks from Disgaea 4, and provide each of them with a fittingly outrageous title.

Of course, submissions are limited to ten characters, so the examples provided above wouldn't exactly be eligible. We're sure you can still blend brevity and exuberance, though. Here, watch this: "METEORGUN." Yeah, that's solid gold stuff, right there.

Microsoft is trumpeting the fact that its UK-only mobile phone game, Fable 3: Kingmaker, has amassed some 60,000 loyal subjects users. The app uses geolocation to let players fight over virtual territory in real-world London in exchange for gold in Fable 3 on Xbox 360, which launches in the territory on October 29th. Players "plant flags" at specific locations, and Microsoft says that one million have been planted since Kingmaker's release on October 1st.

Not surprisingly, a Windows Phone 7 version of the game has been confirmed as hitting "later this holiday" -- again, in the UK only.

Oh, man. We're still a good week and some change away from the highly anticipated Halloween update for Minecraft, but we're already filled with raw, seething hate for the creatures depicted above. They're called "Ghasts," and they're a new type of enemy which only appears in the new hell-like dimension which players can fast-travel through using homemade obsidian portals, where the red rocks which compose the floor, walls and ceiling can burn eternally. Sounds just delightful, doesn't it?

PC Gamer recently checked out the new area -- and its hovering, flame-spitting inhabitants -- in an early preview. If you want to be prepared for the Ghasts' particularly unpleasant form of attack, we suggest you start doing your research.

Outside of the comic's early 20th century Russia setting and the main character's name, little information has been released on the forthcoming Assassin's Creed comic, Assassin's Creed: The Fall; however, a developer diary released today details the comic's narrative, setting, main character, and how he fits into the franchise's overall timeline. Nikolai Orelov will be leaping from Russian rooftops and landing his (likely freezing cold) twin blades into the necks of important men like Tsar Alexander III.

Perhaps most interesting about the dev diary is the comic team's tease at the end that their story could find its way into a future Assassin's Creed title. Though we stand by our desire for a post-Civil War, Reconstruction Era Assassin's Creed game, one set in the Russian revolution doesn't sound too shabby either.

In an interview with The Liberty Gaming.com, David Bateson, the ice cold voice of Agent 47 in the Hitman games, was reluctant to say much about the mysterious next sequel in the series. "As recently as this year, I even had someone call me up from IO Interactive to ask me to remove the fact that I was set to record the next installment in the franchise," Bateson told the site, "which I had written up as upcoming news on my website. I respect that of course, a comment like that can create all sorts of headaches to people with development deadlines to meet."

"I have to plead the 5th Amendment on this one," Bateson said, before admitting that the new project has undergone "delays" -- despite the process being "a well oiled machine on recording day." That's not to say he just waltzed into the gig.

"It seems that with company buy outs and global power shifts in the world of computer gaming and the Hitman franchise, there is now an LA-based caster on board, who is responsible for voice casting, and I had to audition along with the rest of the planet for the right to play Agent 47," Bateson recounted. "However, I have been informed by IO Interactive that I still have the part. I won't even bother to describe how gutted I would have been if they went for a sound-a-like."

If you've noticed that the server that's home to devilishly addicted indie darling Minecraft has been a little slow this week, there's a good reason why. A group of what are apparently disgruntled players of the game have orchestrated a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on the hardware, overwhelming it and -- at least for a time -- bringing it to its knees.

In a post on the notorious message board 4chan, a person claiming to represent the group said that the DDoS attack was designed to "send [Minecraft creator Markus Persson] a clear message of how the future of Minecraft will turn out unless he gets to work, namely by influencing the amount of sales taking place, due to the attacks."

On his blog, Persson has stated that he's "signed up for a DDoS protection service, and took the chance to upgrade the server hardware to a much more powerful beast." The latter is still a work in progress. "I haven't migrated things over to that server yet, but that's coming soon," he wrote.

We're sure someone will recreate the whole sordid event in Minecraft soon enough.
