1) A Stealthy Shove
I wasn’t sure I believed it when Creative Director Maxime Béland told us Splinter Cell Blacklist would push us towards stealthy play, but it absolutely does. It doesn’t force you into anything – and if you really want to tear through a map in all-out assault mode, you are usually free to do so – but it does teach you how to be stealthier. Many of Sam’s more interesting toys are geared toward stealth and, of course, it’s much easier when fewer people know you’re lurking around. Learning to pause before leaping into action so I could take advantage of these gadgets was one of the strongest draws for me. Patience is not usually my strong suit, but Blacklist taught me how to strengthen my waiting muscles.
