Valve have greenlit another 75 games for release via Steam. If you’re a writer covering game news, this poses a problem. Do you only mention the games readers might already heard of? This current batch includes the Kickstartering Chaos Reborn, the (also Kickstartering) Duelyst from former Diablo 2 and Rogue Legacy devs, the fiddly platforming roguelike Catacomb Kids, plus Hero Trap, Lemma, and a few others we’ve already covered on these pages.

Do you attempt to mention the other 65 games which people probably don’t already know? This latest batch includes a great many games in which static drawings of anime characters hover near menus, for example.

Or do you attempt to fit the game names into the lyrics of an Animaniacs song?

I’ve grown complacent, and my PC weak. I haven’t upgraded at all in a fair few years, but now face building a whole new system. See, the demands of multiplatform games pretty much stalled once console developers starting pushing their limits, but now a whole new load are out and oh, their games are hungry. One of the first all-singing, all-dancing shiny big games is Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs, and its system requirements confirm that it’s about time I take my dear old friend down to Regents Canal in a hessian sack. Good night, sweet prince.

Especially for a game in which Adam enjoyed himself but craved more variety. There’s a video demonstration of the editor in action below.

Diablo III has recently made some major updates, including closing the much-loathed auction house. Another of the new features was the addition of clans, essentially guilds for the online ARPG. Limited to 120 members, their intention was to create something smaller than the game’s “communities”, and also something private – invite only. However, for some reason the game’s filters are preventing anyone from creating a clan with variants of the word “trans” in their name.

And then… it was upon them. They were snuffed out in an instant.

After many moons of searching, dedicated Battlefield 4 players have finally found a long-rumoured secret: a megalodon. Lurking in the seas of the multiplayer map Paracel Storm, the prehistoric mega-shark will rise and breach to devour the bold and foolish.

A portion of a NWR review...

Skater Cat is a fun platformer that is easy to pickup and takes some skill to complete a level with three medals and several stray cats. As a fan of momentum based platformers, I enjoyed playing Skater Cat and can see myself going back to replay some of the levels to improve my time, especially if I am able to get some StreetPasses.
