DAY 1
Woke up at 6 AM on Saturday to get ready to leave for NY, about a 40 minute drive. Left at around 8, got to the convention center at around 9. Everyone was piling up in a huge line to wait for the doors to open, I stood next to this clown.
Spent most of the hour playing Megaman II on my ipod. Once it struck 10, they opened the doors and everyone poured in.
I walked around the show floors for about two hours, browsing around and looking at demos for some games.
Stopped by the Get Me Off the Moon booth to support the cause.
met Mr. T
Went to the UMvC3 conference, see previous thread for more on that.
Walked around a bit, bought comics and a virtual boy, got a free signed Megaman comic.
Went home, made the other thread, passed out.
DAY 1 SWAG
DAY 2
Woke up at 9 this time, got there at around 11. I immediately went to get in line for the World of Capcom conference. Stood around for a bit in line, met JG Quintel (creator of the Regular Show) and Bill Salyers (Rigby).
At World of Capcom they talked about a couple new games: Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, Wrath of Asura, and Dragon's Dogma.
Off the Record's going to get some DLC costumes (cosplay and cyborg) soon, other than that there's not much to say since it's been out for nearly a week.
Wrath of Asura looks p. cool, like an over the top God of War, apparently it's only going to be single player to maximize the story and gameplay.
Dragon's Dogma is apparently a mix between RE 4 and Devil may Cry 4, with open world gameplay like Elder Scrolls. There is a boob size slider in the character creation.
Afterwards, I went to go get a signed UMvC3 poster, but they ran out of posters while I was in line, so I got a shirt instead. The guy in front of me got the last signature, I gorged myself with water to wash away the pain.
At around 3 I went to the Get Me Off the Moon booth to prep for our march to the Capcom booth, where I got another free shirt. We walked down to the Capcom booth and shuffled around for a while until someone higher up came around to talk. He was pretty chill, we gave him a book with some concepts and shit or something for MML3, then we dispersed. My camera died around then, so I didn't get any pics of it, though it'll probably be on youtube tomorrow.
I spent the rest of the day looking for expensive comics in the dollar bins.
DAY 2 SWAG
All in all, it was fun. The lines were a pain in the ass and my legs hurt like shit from standing up all day, but it was worth it in the end. Maybe I'll go again next year.
