Gender roles, gender identities, the concepts of masculine and feminine; they are all mere examples of conformism. You may think there are certain ways that males or females should think, dress or act, but why is that?

Is it because you logically concluded that there are certain ways the sexes should behave? Or is it because you are merely conforming to the conservative views of an ignorant society and flawed culture? It is disgusting to think that some people still believe that there are certain traits beyond the obvious biological differences of the sexes that determine what makes a man a "man" and what makes a woman a "woman."

It is a stifling of individuality in favor of conformism. This all boils down to one, single truth: you should act as an individual. Not as a custom or an idea.

Popple
If you actively engage in either trying to be or not be like someone or something you are conforming to a standard. The only way to not conform is to not care about anything at all. Everyone exhibits traits of "conforming" therefore we are all conformists. Even you Crump, with your hippie liberal agenda I don't give a *crag* about.

The film is *crag*ing amazing, and it is a true milestone in the history of film. It will be remembered for decades.

With that said, yeah, the plot isn't exactly original; if someone were to call it a cross between Dances with Wolves and Ferngully in space, well, they would be right. However, the film makes up for its large amount of borrowed ideas by presenting them in a highly polished, relatively original, and definitely sophisticated way.

The film will be remembered for how much of an achievement in terms of special effects and animation it was for its time. This is probably the first film with extensive motion-capture animation that I've seen to look believable; the characters, scenery, and overall atmosphere create a compelling world and a truly unforgettable experience.

So, while it is somewhat weak in terms of the actual basis for the narrative (The presentation of the narrative certainly isn't, of course), that is a minor qualm when its absolutely wonderous atmosphere is taken in to account.

This is quite possibly the best game of 2009 and you should all play it if and when you get the chance.

Death isn't an emotion, but rather, the lack of emotion. When the universe began, there was nothingness; nothing but darkness, blackness, death. And then the white light of creation filled the universe, and was shattered in to the varying emotions; for life is the complete combination of all these varying emotions, and death is the opposite.
Ask yourself; without emotion, are you really alive? Not in a literal sense, but in a meaningful sense. And that is what the Black Lantern Corps is trying to accomplish: to snuff out all the light and return the universe to an ultimate state of nothingness, for, according to Black Hand, that is the only way order or peace may exist.
I was browsing Deviant Art and found this it suits Agent Orange very well

You know, I've had a link to this site in my sig on another forum for quite some time but I have yet to see any evidence that anyone has taken notice, unfortunately. Goes to show that no matter how much text you cram in to your sig, nobody actually pays attention to it.

This is exactly why I've come to enjoy this new format of posting even more, because I no longer "miss" sigs, as nobody ever pays attention to them anyway. This new format is essentially better than old digi in every way for me, now.

With strong hearts full, our souls ignite,
When all seems lost in the War of Light,
Look to the stars-- For hope burns bright! -Blue Lantern Corps Oath

Ripped from a corpse so freshly dead,
Together with our hellish hate,
We'll burn you all--That is your fate! -Red Lantern Corps Oath

Larfleeze doesn't really have one, but I think this would suit Agent Orange perfectly:

Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine
Mine mine mine mine mine mine mine mine,

Characters you like that everyone else hates

1. Tingle. I don't get what dumbassery caused this guy to be hated. Is it because he's creepy, being a middle-aged guy who wants to be a fairy? Well no shit, that's the point, and it works. That's why I like him; the character perfectly accomplished the "creepy, eccentric" guy feel. 2. Sephiroth. He's as hated as he is loved. I normally don't get all pissed when someone legitimately finds him uninteresting as a character; that's a respectable reason as to why someone wouldn't like him. However, most people dislike him for the wrong reasons; that is, they hate the character because they hate the fanbase. Honestly, I was like this once, as I began to hate Ocarina of Time for a while because I hated the fanbase (Actually, the same goes for Sephiroth, as well; I used to highly dislike the character because of his fanbase, but that was a while ago, before I joined this site), but I found out that I was being stupid; I shouldn't let my opinion of the fanbase dictate my opinion of the game. 3. Zidane. I honestly can't count how many times I've suggested that people should play FFIX because it's awesome and they went ahead and said that it "sucked," hardly giving it a chance, because they dislike the fact that the main character has a tail. What? Is that all; you don't like the fact that the main character is a monkey boy? *crag*, Goku's a monkey boy as well, but I don't see anyone complaining about him. Alright, your turn.

You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Stranger: Hey
You: Hello
Stranger: How are you?
You: Meh alright
You: Just came back from discussing the practical applications of transhumanism
You: With a friend of mine
Stranger: Oh, how did that go?
You: We concluded that transhumanist developments will take place within the next 100 years, but the real problem is how to distribute them
Stranger: Well converting people to some sort of cyborg, would take a while if you think about it lol
You: Should we pull for a capitalist libertarian "do whatever you want to your body" approach or a Marxist "wait until socialist revolution" approach
You: See, converting people to cyborgs isn't the problem
You: it's who will be able to afford it
Stranger: Well, then not many things will happen with that. Based on how the economy is doing right now and the unemployment rate..... Things aren't relaly going to get started with that for a long time
Stranger: In my eyes..
Stranger: But when that day comes, wow
You: Well, technology and science isn't getting hit as hard as other sectors of the economy.
You: Our level of technology increases exponentially with each year.
Stranger: Maybe so, but all I am saying is that as long as this is going on, all of these people jobless
You: True, so it would be difficult for a libertarian transhumanist approach to prove practical. But then again...
You: By the time this technology is perfected, it would gradually decrease in costs.
You: To the point where middle class families can afford it.
Stranger: Okay, well... Care to tell me what this might do to the human population
Stranger: After they, afford it and what not
You: Oh, you're talking about overpopulation?
Stranger: No..
Stranger: I'm only talking about what it will do to people, when they.....
Stranger: Take the next step to transhumanism
You: Well, the brain is what makes the man. What gives us our personality, and all that good stuff.
You: If we were able to preserve our brain with technology so that it doesn't decay
You: There isn't much to fear in terms of existential crisis.
Stranger: Oh, well what are the benifets, just longer life?
You: Longer life, resistance to disease. Memory augmentation, increased physical abilities.
You: Basically, more efficiency than humans.
Stranger: That sounds good, although... That wont be in my life time
You: Depends; how old are you?
Stranger: Well.... I'm only 17..
Stranger: It appears you are much older
You: I'm 19, but I'm confident we will see it within the next 100 years.
Stranger: Due to the fact your choice of wording makes me feel stupid
Stranger: I guess I was wrong..
Stranger: Now I feel even more pathetic
You: No need to feel pathetic; optimism is key.
Stranger: I suppose you may be right
Stranger: Now I just believe you to be some super genius ha ha
You: No; I just like to talk about these things quite a bit.
You: Because our future is interesting; transhumanism, space exploration...
Stranger: Gaming!
You: Indeed.
Stranger: That is what I'm all about wasting my time and brain power on games
You: I was plenty of my time and brain power on games, as well; but then again, I don't view games as mere "toys."
You: I actually consider them to be a form of art.
Stranger: Well, it matters what you play I guess, which is?
You: All genres. Platformers, JRPGs, WRPGs, Action-Adventures, Shooters...
Stranger: Well taht's good
You: Of course.
Stranger: Always have time for gaming
You: Entertainment is necessary for a healthy mind.
Your conversational partner has disconnected.
