#republished The game developer whose recent talk about video games and art was critiqued by Roger Ebert is ready to move on, but first, Kellee Santiago, president of Flower-maker ThatGameCompany has an argument to defend and an offer to make. More »
Lord Crump
It's not like Ebert's a spring chicken anymore
Soon his generation will have passed on, and those who grew up with videogames--and thus appreciate the art form--will dominate society
No need to give the opinion of a senile old coot who gave good ratings to the Garfield films who also probably hasn't touched a videogame in his life any more attention than he deserves

#retail No disc - game, CD, DVD, whatever - sold more in 2009 than Modern Warfare 2, in the U.K. anyway, where the game bested phenomena such as Lady Gaga and Susan Boyle, and standbys like James Bond and Harry Potter. More »

why is this in Wii Sports Resort.

Sales don't necessarily mean something is popular. MW2 is a pretty mediocre game, but people buy it. It doesn't make sense.

#activision A top Activision executive, speaking late this week after mass defections from Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward eviscerated morale there, defended the company's treatment of its developers, saying they're paid better under Activision than anywhere else. More »

Clearly they're "treated well" if they haven't gotten a cut of the profits from the game that IW was forced to make.
