How much you enjoy petty squabbles between large multinational companies will determine how much you enjoy the latest instalment of the increasingly public soap opera surrounding Activision, EA and Call of Duty developers Infinity Ward. Me? I enjoy them immensely. More »
505 Games has released a new batch of Naughty Bear trailers. The standout of the three trailers is probably the Blair Witch parody we've embedded above. While the homage to the movie is appreciated, it's a little low on bear-on-bear violence for our taste. The other two trailers, thankfully, fall a bit closer to the mark. The second is actually a snippet from the third level of the game, which tasks Naughty Bear with destroying cameras mounted on birds (no, really). Finally, the third trailer gives us the violence we crave, as the demented fiend pushes a poor, defenseless comrade into a giant cake mixer.
If that's not good, clean fun, we don't know what is.

The new XCOM game isn't the same as the old X-Com games. Some people are cool with this, while others are not cool with this. If you're in the latter group, you should check out Xenonauts, an upcoming indie PC game. More »

Celebrating the release of the first episode of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse, Valve has announced an interesting promoti onal tie-in with Team Fortress 2. Starting today, anyone who pre-ordered The Devil's Playhouse or purchases it within the first week on Steam will get a special batch of items for Team Fortress 2. The three items, pictured above, were crafted by Telltale and include Max's pistol, Sam's revolver and -- bizarrely -- Max's severed head. The hat is purely cosmetic, and we have no idea what the stats are for the pistols, but who cares? Just look at them. If you like Team Fortress 2 and you like Sam & Max, it's pretty much a no-brainer.Buy Sam & Max on Steam, get items in Team Fortress 2

Holy hell, Monster Hunter 3 is all over the place. The bundle version seems to be doing very well for Capcom, while the stand-alone game can’t make up its mind.
Some rehashed details below, but a lot of new information as well.
- nearly 2 dozen different weapons for the final game
- Vortex Blaster: energy based, charging ability, collects fired enemy bullets into a cluster, throws them back with a blast
- mobile turret gun: move around the level, fired remotely, look down the scope of the [...]
- first post by producer Motohide Eshiro
- Back in 2008, Matsushita presented Eshiro with some sort of demo that resembled Okamiden, to with Eshiro responded “What the! Isn’t that a familiar white dog… err, white wolf… running around?”
- Matsushita admitted that some of the dev team had been working on a demo for some time, [...]
There are only two ways we could think to improve the UNO experience we currently have access to on the PS3 and 360:
Make it available on a handheld console, in order to emulate the joy of holding tiny cards in our hands.
Remove all camera functionality, in order to lessen the frequency with which we're exposed to strangers' bathing suit areas.
Fortunately, Gameloft is coming through for us in both respects with a downloadable PSP version of UNO, which is set to hit the U.S. and European PlayStation Stores on April 22. The game's video announcement (posted after the jump) mentions it will support local and online multiplayer matches, but doesn't say anything about a price. We've contacted Gameloft to discern this ever-important (yet, surprisingly, often excluded!) detail.
If you want your copy of Monster Hunter 3 a few days early, and you didn’t happen to preorder, you can hit up your local Walmart and grab a copy! I think I might have to do that this weekend! Thanks to Alfredo for the heads up.
