Chubbins may not be ready for Wii U quite as soon as we'd hoped. Efforts to get the word out about the game have resulted in feedback that has us baffled. Most of said feedback relates to the game's visuals.

When you break it down, Chubbins is about moving left and right from block to block to traverse levels. That's the bare-bones objective. The platforming gets incredibly tricky at times, but at its core it's a very simple game with a very simple goal. So just what should such a game look like? To us it seems a simple game should have simple visual needs, especially when the player's concentration might be thrown off by unecessary distractions.

Dungeon of the Endless is out now on Steam Early Access and it's getting some extra features - at GDC, Amplitude Studios told us that the roguelike dungeon defense game is getting four-player co-op and a visual log that tracks player progress with a series of collectible, digital cards.

The latest trailer includes a lineup of pixelated pugs, for no reason we can think of except that they're immensely adorable. Check out Twitch for our livestream of some Early Access Steam gameplay, and check out the game for yourself on Steam. This one is looking better and better.

This is part of a NWR review for The LEGO Movie Videogame...

The game isn't revolutionary, but it's still loads of fun whether you've seen the movie or not. Featuring surprisingly funny quips, elongated use of the movie's memorable moments, and great replay value, the Lego Movie Videogame is a worthwhile experience. Players of any age will appreciate the charm and effort TT Games put in to the title, balancing accessibility with small challenges.

This project aims to release a LEGO set based on the popular video game series Metroid. The series is well known and beloved for its sense of exploration and discovery. For this reason and many more, I believe it would make a great fit with LEGO bricks.

There is no question that Metroid has plenty of set possibilities. However, since a project can only propose one set I had to choose what I felt best exemplified the franchise. For me that one set is a recreation of the opening of what is often considered the best game in the series: Super Metroid. This set would include Samus with her gunship and her nemesis Ridley to reenact the opening of the game.

The set includes:
-A Samus minifigure with printed details. I made the details myself and they are not the best, but I can assure you that the ones LEGO would make if this were to be produce would be much better.
-A Ridley figure with many joints for maximum poseability. Ridley can move in just about any way you would like.
-Samus' gunship which is complete with an interior.

Mobile developer Supercell will release a follow-up to its free-to-play hit, Clash of Clans, exclusively for iOS tomorrow, Apple announced.

Boom Beach expands on Clash of Clans' premise, challenging players to build a shoreline outpost and fortify it from enemy attacks. Like Clash of Clans, players can level up in Boom Beach by attacking other players' settlements, robbing them of gathered resources while advancing in the leaderboard ranks.

Developer Supercell announced last month that Clash of Clans earns over $650,000 in microtransaction revenue daily. Clash of Clans currently ranks as North America's single highest-grossing mobile app across all categories on both iTunes and Google Play. [Image: Supercell]

Those Humble folks just can't keep their sales in one place. The Humble Store is offering up to 75 percent off a roundup of Square Enix games, including Tomb Raider Game of the Year Edition for $12, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut for $10, Sleeping Dogs for $5, Hitman Absolution for $6.25, plus a series of DLC collections, and older Thief, Deus Ex and Tomb Raider games.

The new Thief is also on the Humble Store page, but it's $50, without a charming green discount sticker. The Square Enix sale runs for 48 hours, until Friday, March 28 at 10AM PT.

Remember, this is all on the Humble Store section, separate from the Humble Weekly and Humble Bundle discounts, but still charitable - 10 percent of every purchase goes to charity. Check the general Humble Store page for a list of other games, some discounted, including Ether One for $17, Escape Goat 2 for $9 and Luftrausers for $10. [Image: Humble Bundle]

Titanfall's anti-cheating system, FairFight, is now active on PC, and it places all cheaters in the same pool to play with each other - and only each other.

As Respawn puts it, "You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests. Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck."

If you're not banned and invite a banned friend into your party, you'll all end up playing in the all-cheater pool. Respawn promises that playing with cheaters won't raise your risk of getting banned. Only cheating can do that.

If you think you've been unfairly banned, Respawn says to hit up anticheat@respawn.com.

Nvidia's Android-based handheld game system, Shield, will receive a temporary price drop for April, cutting the system by $50 to $199 for the month. The price cut is accompanied by new features arriving in a software update for the system next week, including a new user interface for the Shield's button-mapping feature. The addition lets players use the Shield's physical buttons for touch-based games on the Google Play store.

The hardware company will also add a beta version of its away-from-home game streaming support feature. Players will be able to remotely play PC games on their Shield, waking up and logging in to locked PCs while on the go. Additionally, the update will add bluetooth keyboard and mouse support for those that want to hook their Shields up to a TV to play on a bigger screen. Lastly, the Nvidia Shield will receive the latest version of the Android operating system, nicknamed KitKat (version 4.4.2).

Nvidia also recently revealed that Valve's popular first-person puzzler Portal will receive a full PC port on Android with full Shield support. [Image: Nvidia]

This comes from a Redbull Games interview...

The transition from Far Cry 3 to Child of Light
''From the start, I wanted to make a game that would be the complete opposite of Far Cry 3: poetic instead of violent, nostalgic instead of psychotic. Child of Light is created to generate a different set of emotions. It’s important for me to be able to change tone from one project to another, otherwise it gets boring.'' - Patrick Plourde, Creative Director

''Far Cry 3 raged, Child of Light builds. While Far Cry 3 came from a place of subversion and anger, this game is about hope.'' - Jeffrey Yohalem, writer

Creating the main character Aurora and Igniculus
''Finding Aurora’s visual identity was not easy. We made a bunch of concepts, but she always looked either too much like a warrior or too much like a doll. In both cases it was not true to her character. One day our art director, Thomas Rollus, made a sketch of her at 6 years old and I immediately fell in love with it. From that point on, there was no question about making Aurora a boy or anything like that – we had found our heroine.'' - Patrick Plourde

''Igniculus came into being when Aurora enters Lemuria, so she has a parental relationship with him. Her simple wisdom about the world is passed on. As they both grow, her truths become more complex and, ultimately, their relationship changes. There is a key turning point that I won’t spoil, but the friendship becomes more complicated and is never the same afterward.'' - Jeffrey Yohalem
