Markus Persson has revealed that an official iOS version of the hit game is currently in the works for iPhone and iPad.

The port is being developed by Aron Neiminen, a new recruit to the Mojang team, and will be released later this year.

Persson said that the iOS edition will not receive every update that the original browser and download version gets, but rather will be granted those features that "make sense" for the touch-screen platform.

Some of it is edible, some is not.  I'm sure kids will know the difference, right?

Somehow I didn't know this was coming.  The spy shots are kinda ugly though.

We need a showdown between Arnold and Rajinikanth,  and Matrix 4 needs to replace Agent Smith with this guy.

I didn't know there was a PSone emulator for Android.   I think even if it was simply just an android phone with a slide-out gamepad, it would sell.   Will be interesting to see how well the track/thumb pads works, and what kind of games Sony releases for it.
