Turtle Tale for Wii U is progressing well. No promises, but the end of the month feels like a reasonable target for submitting to lot check.

David Wise’s fantastic soundtrack will officially launch next week Thursday, April the 17th. It will be initially available through Bandcamp and the Humble store. We have partnered up with TuneCore to release the soundtrack on many more stores like iTunes or Amazon MP3 and will let you know once that happens.

Everyone who pre-ordered the soundtrack will be able to get it a few days early. I have sent it to the Humble team this morning, who will hopefully make it available very soon. No need to check your account though, as you will receive an email when the soundtrack is ready for download. The soundtrack will be available in MP3-format (48000khz, 320kbs, Stereo, CBR) and Flac-format (48000khz, 24Bit). In addition it will come with an 8-page digital booklet in PDF format.

In the aftermath of global annihilation, Mushroom 11 gives rise to a bioluminescent blob that looks like someone made radioactive jello in a murky swimming pool. It expands, contracts, squeezes and climbs through dilapidated nooks and crannies, never losing its total mass while the player prods it into motion. It's easy to play and hard to look away.

The quirky growth must use its weight and mass in clever ways to advance, be it creeping through the windows of a skyscraper about to crumble, splitting itself to trigger simultaneous mechanisms, or to roll past the attacking arms of a mutated plant. The trick is to realize that your touch (or mouse-click) removes adjacent pieces of the blob, which then immediately regrow, attached elsewhere. Closer observation shows it to be a living lattice of gelatinous material, moving and shifting its weight as it grows in response to your prodding. This makes Mushroom 11 a slower, methodical game, and different from fluid manipulation games like Pixeljunk Shooter.

The other trick to Mushroom 11, according to designer Itay Keren, is to teach players how to handle their blobs without resorting to text and obvious tutorials. The game is striving for subtlety, both in its story of how the earth came to ruin, and in its teaching phase.

Burlington, NC - April 11, 2014 - Actos Games, LLC., creator of APEXICON - Fantasy Puzzle Combat, upcoming titles THERMOBIRD (for mobiles), and TITANOMACHIA (upcoming title based on Shadow of the Colossus) have announced an unprecedented deal regarding APEXICON and its future titles: Starting today, all backers who back the Mini-Collector's Edition tier on the Kickstarter or higher will get another copy of APEXICON, as well as the next two titles from Actos Games, LLC., THERMOBIRD, and TITANOMACHIA.

"We believe not only quality is a part of our brand from here on out, but value as well. Our supporters are just the beginning in our grand scope of games and game development in general. With this new backing bonus, we believe our current and future backers will realize that Actos Games means business. We want to foster loyalty and friendship in the community, and we believe we can do this by offering our future games to those early supporters. We still encourage them to back our future Kickstarters for any of our games to obtain exclusive swag for the game of their choice." Jonathan Meyer stated when asked about the deal.

Also of interesting news, come the fact that talks between newly indie publisher DoubleFine have been in the works. "We absolutely love DoubleFine and everything they've done for the indie community - which is why we think they're an amazing choice to start talks about publishing APEXICON or our future titles through." Jonathan Meyer remarked. "It is definitely an exciting prospect, and we give all our love to Greg Rice."

APEXICON - Fantasy Puzzle Combat is a puzzle RPG based around creating words from a boggle-like board. Calling itself a "successor to Puzzle Quest", it features four RPG classes, town-building, side-quests, and special hidden NPCs you can find to change the game's multiple endings. Similar to Bookworm Adventures, you are able to deal more damage to enemies with your words based on the skills you activate and use during combat.

Yesterday we told you that Mario Golf: World Tour's eShop page made mention of paid DLC for extra courses. Today we see that Nintendo has removed that line of text. I'm guessing the info came out before they wanted it to. If you're wondering, that same line of text is still available on the Amazon listing. Thanks to VGAMER for the heads up!

Some feared that Watch_Dogs wouldn't reach Wii U until well into 2015. Ubisoft has stepped up to say that's not the case. The company confirmed that they're currently targeting a Fall 2014 release for the title on Wii U. It sucks that we have to wait, but at least things aren't as bad as some thought.

Hey, PlayStation.Blog readers. We just want to let you know that the Capture Creator Update is now available as a free update to GTA Online, allowing you to create your own original customized Capture Jobs, adding on to the over 4 million player-created Deathmatches and Races created thus far.

Capture is a GTA twist on classic capture the flag style confrontations set across the massive world of Los Santos and Blaine County. Strategically place pick-ups, define weaponry, location and lots of other variables to make your own unique Capture Job for others to take on. We will also be reviewing your homemade Capture creations to stamp standout experiences as Rockstar Verified.

We’re also extending the 2X GTA$ and RP period that was originally scheduled to end today through next week – so playing any Capture Jobs, including those made with the Creator tools, will earn you twice as much GTA$ and RP until the end of the day on Sunday, April 20th.

As a little bonus for early birds in the community who are planning to make the first Capture creation masterpieces this weekend, we’re going to give 4 creators the opportunity to score a cool $GTA1,000,000 and the exclusive in-game CAPTURE license plate in the #CaptureWeekend Awards. The four official selections will also join the hallowed ranks of Rockstar Verified Jobs and be invited to join us on a future Rockstar Games live broadcast on Twitch to play through and talk about their creations.
