It's been well over a year since the game's website has been updated. Recently, an update occurred though. This update included system requirements for the Windows, OS X, and Linux versions of the game, brand-new screenshots and music, as well as clay models of the Chosen Four. The blog page states:

"What isn’t great, despite how much the quality has increased, is how much further behind schedule we’ve become than we realized. Yet, as Mother fans, we will only be satisfied with the highest quality of work. That has led us here. Today, we’re announcing that Mother 4 will be released in 2015. In a few weeks, we’ll post a specific release day....In the meantime, we’ll be posting a new video next month of some of the gameplay

 I was PISSED to find this out! I'm subscribed to the mailing list, so they will send me my copy of the game before it releases to the "general public" meaning anyone with a computer and internet. When this happens, a download page will be posted on the site. It also means that I, a proud EarthBound lover for 2 years, will be one of the first people to play! The upside to this is: I'm getting a new laptop for Christmas, and MOTHER 4 will be a great addition to my gaming library, so I'll install it once I actually have a new computer, since my laptop probably can't and won't run it at this point.

What are your thoughts on the project thus far?

I'm nearing my goal to get my $5 eShop credit!!! I've only had my Wii U system since April, so I guess that's the only credit I'll be able to use. Sadly, it only applies to digital purchases, and not discs. To earn points, you must make eshop purchases before December 31, 2014. The next few weeks are your last chance.

Who got the Wii U deluxe set? If so, did you participate in DDP? Even if not, what eShop games do you recommend?
