Amazon Japan opened up preorders for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle this morning, with 700 bundles up for grabs. All it took was 5 minutes for the entire allotment to sell out! No word on a replenishment at this time, but certainly the bundle will be available at other retailers.

ONM: Can you remember when the idea of Ace Attorney first came to you? How did your bosses respond to the idea of a lawyer-based adventure game when you first described it to them?
ST: It was in 2000 when Mr Mikami said I could make my own game and my original idea was a fairly typical adventure with a detective as the main character. Most mystery adventures have the player choose from a number of different dialogue options for their character in order to progress the story, but I wanted a new gameplay style that enabled players to deduce for themselves what was happening, rather than just selecting canned responses. I developed this into the concept of facing off against the suspect in a crime and exposing the contradictions in their statements.
I was sure my new idea would be a fun and original take on the genre, so I started to revise the main character, since a detective would be too traditional for such an original concept. I asked myself, "What kind of professional would face off against a suspect and expose their contradictory statements?" The answer, of course, was a lawyer and so the Ace Attorney concept was born.
Incidentally, I wrote the game design document at home during my summer holiday straight after Dino Crisis 2 finished. One day, I got a call from Mr Mikami. Despite having supposedly given me free rein to design whatever I wanted, he warned me off doing a game about courtroom trials!
ONM: Could you imagine an Ace Attorney/Ghost Trick crossover? Any deaths that we couldn't prevent by way of possession could then go to trial in a courtroom...
ST: ...or Phoenix Wright could be killed and Sissel could prosecute his killer in court! Whatever form it might take, a crossover between these games is something I would love to see happen.

WHAT: Nintendo is joining up with the United States Olympic Committee to kick off its nationwide “Road to Sochi Tour” in Times Square on Oct. 29 with a 100 Day Countdown event, celebrating 100 days until the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter
Games. The event will take up three blocks in New York’s Times Square and will
include athlete demonstrations on a ski and snowboard ramp, as well as an ice rink
for curling, figure skating, speedskating and ice hockey.
Nintendo will also be there with hands-on demos for its new game, Mario & Sonic
at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games™, which launches for Wii U on Nov. 15.
The fun game features characters from the Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the
Hedgehog universes competing together in 24 winter events, including the new
event snowboard slopestyle, which is making its Olympic Winter Games debut in
Sochi.
Jamie Anderson, slopestyle snowboarder and six-time X Games medalist, will be at
the event to help promote Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter
Games™. The Olympic hopeful will meet with visitors in a designated area.
In addition, the Mario and Sonic costumed characters will make appearances to
take photos with attendees.

REDMOND, Wash., Oct. 24, 2013 – It's time to RSVP for the best video game party ever. On Oct. 25, the Wii Party U game launches for the Wii U console, bringing with it more than 80 mini-games, multiple party modes for people of all ages and unique game play that shows off the creative power of the Wii U GamePad controller. The game offers a party for every kind of player – from board games centered on the television to tabletop games that can be played exclusively on the GamePad (no TV required!). Wii Party U turns any living room into a party.
"Call your family and friends and start planning your Wii Party U party now," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "The game is another classic Nintendo experience that will have people laughing and smiling with every new original activity."
TV Party Mode: Players can get comfortable on the couch as they compete with family and friends in board game-style games using the GamePad and Wii Remote controllers. Players take turns and move toward a goal on several different boards, playing a ton of fun mini-games along the way. One to four players can participate in this mode that combines both chance and skill.
House Party Mode: The physical and mental games featured in this mode change based on who is playing – new personalities create new experiences. "Button Smashers" has players working together to press a series of buttons on the GamePad and Wii Remote controllers. In "Name That Face," one player takes a picture of his or her funny face using the GamePad camera, and the other players have to guess the expression. All the games in this mode make for a wild party.
GamePad Party Mode: In a unique twist to normal game play, GamePad Party Mode asks players to turn off the TV and put their eyes (and fingers) on the Wii U GamePad controller. This mode offers games that are played exclusively on the GamePad. Players take part in such classic games like "foosball" and "slot-car racing," and using the included Wii U GamePad horizontal stand keeps the GamePad level for standalone GamePad game play.
In addition to the three main party modes, Wii Party U features many other modes that let players select quick-play mini-game challenges, receive activity suggestions based on the current number of players and view archives that display records and Amazing Feats. Players with broadband Internet access can even access Miiverse to rate specific mini-games, view other players' ratings and leave comments or draw pictures.
Wii Party U comes bundled with a Wii Remote Plus controller and the GamePad horizontal stand, all at a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Nintendo adds new titles weekly to the Nintendo eShop for the Wii U system as well as the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL systems, to the Nintendo DSi™ Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and to the Wii™ Shop Channel for the Wii console.
The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service and features games, applications and videos. If you're game for a little rumor rumbling, we've got a juicy one for you. Supposedly Nintendo is going to release a series of reworked/revamped classic N64 titles, including Super Mario 64. The titles will be revamped visually and feature some other upgrades as well. Also, the rumor states that you'll only be able to purchase these via eShop for $30 a pop.
