Francis

Francis is a large chameleon and stereotypical nerdy gamer that would fit great in the world of Smash Bros. He has many interesting moves like going invisible and using his laptop, camera, and cat-themed gadgets like Meowbombs. His videogame collection could also be used as weapons. His final smash could trap the fighters in an anime dating-sim where the attack is chosen from an RPG-like menu. His stage could be his 8-bit themed Fort Francis.

I'm a little concerned that Nintendo is outsourcing this... I'm afraid it will just be the same ole iphone games but with a Mario skin. When instead we could have a port of Professor Layton or something like Kirby Mass Attack

3DS Games:

BUT that might mean that Gamepad/Pro-controller support may be coming to Wii disc games in the future that use the Classic Controller.

EDIT: It's technically not identical to Wii discs... because Wii discs send you to the Wii home screen where you have to select the Disc Channel. SMG2 digital skips that step and boots you straight into the game. Hopefully that feature comes to Wii discs too.

Hayashida also clarified that Toads are not mushrooms.

I was surprised because I had not heard of such a thing. It was basically a 3DS with a headstrap. You could play VR games or use it like a normal 3DS. The dream felt so real I actually googled for it when I woke up.
