Description of the PC release:
It's inevitable that rumors of an apartment building full of monsters would eventually reach the ears of the no-good humans. Would-be heroes, bloodthirsty pirates, cunning thieves and conniving mages all have their sights on The Devil's gold! Knock on doors and call your residents to your side! They want a war? We'll give 'em a war!
Playism did release an English version of Petit Depotto's title on PC, so maybe we can expect this release at point in the west!

Sales of the neon stealth game Monaco have hit 750,000 following its inclusion in Humble Indie Bundle 11. During the bundle bonanza, Monaco earned approximately $215,000, developer Andy Schatz writes in a rundown on his blog. "That's a nice hefty sum," he adds.

Monaco was one of the "beat the average" games, meaning customers had to pay more than roughly $4.70 to get it. The entire bundle earned $2.3 million from 494,000 units, and of those, 370,000 were "beat the average" purchases that included Monaco. Most customers chose to distribute their payment with the default settings of 65 percent to developers, 20 percent to charity and 15 to Humble, and with six developers plus three mid-week additions, Schatz walked with 8 percent of the total payments.

During the Humble sale, Schatz tracked Monaco's Steam numbers to see if sales there would drop - and they didn't. "Despite the huge number of units that we sold in the Humble Bundle, it doesn't appear that our presence in the HIB affected our day-to-day Steam revenue," he writes. "Why is this? My guess is that customers tend to be loyal to sales channels."

Schatz told Joystiq near the beginning of Humble Indie Bundle 11 that he'd never been disappointed with Monaco's sales, even though XBLA numbers fell below his expectations.

"Prior to HIB11, we had sold about 375,000 units across all platforms, with XBLA accounting for about 10 percent of those," he said. "Part of the strength of our PC sales have been the huge free updates (of which we have planned one final one, which will wrap up the storyline of the Gentleman and his crew). No plans at the moment for a sequel; I'm actually just beginning work on our next title." [Image: Pocketwatch Games]

Game developer Shawn Allen grew up as a biracial black kid raised by a white mom in a mostly Latin neighborhood in Manhattan. Now, as an adult, most people assume he's black, Middle Eastern or Hispanic, while others squint and ask, "Where are you from?" Diana, his wife, is Puerto Rican, and their friend, Manny, is Sicilian and chief of his Taino tribe.

Together, they're aiming to bust down the barriers to video game diversity with a retro-styled brawler, Treachery in Beatdown City. It features RPG elements and a turn-based combat system, and it features a cast of minority characters. The star of Beatdown City is Lisa, a Puerto Rican woman designed by Diana to counteract the "spicy Latina" stereotype in popular media, Allen tells me.

"Lisa was made to be a strong character first, who can also be a positive Latin woman in games," he says. "She is, if not the only, one of the few leading Puerto Rican women in games."

Beatdown City isn't an activist game - it spawns from the team's love of brawlers, and they've worked to make it different (turn-based combat will do that) while still recalling classics such as Double Dragon and Streets of Rage. But if Allen and his friends are going to make a game with human characters, they're going to be as diverse as the developers themselves, Allen says:

"When Manny and I started making the game, we wanted to make iconic, memorable characters like brawlers of old did. But we infused them with backgrounds based on our culture, the culture around us and of people that we know. The more we thought about it, the details flowed very easily."

What do you get when you mix the titans from Titanfall with Atari's popular retro game Asteroids? You get Titanfall's titans in Asteroids silly, what else could you possibly have expected? Respawn Entertainment recently thought it fitting to launch a small, free retro game portal dubbed "Titanfall Arcade" to promote its upcoming FPS, starting with an Asteroids clone.

The browser-based flash game plays exactly like it sounds: After dropping a titan into a flat black space setting, players point with their cursors to shoot the classic outlines of space debris, racking up a high score after firing off charged beam shots. The game makes for a fun little excursion while your boss is looking away, to be sure. The other two Titanfall Arcade games that will be available to play sometime in the near future are spoofs on Missile Command and Centipede, the former sounding all too appropriate for a mech to be involved in.

Cloud gaming pioneer OnLive may have faded from prominence, but two novel streaming initiatives may propel the company back into the spotlight.

Key to this resurgence is OnLive's Cloudlift, a service that allows players to stream games they own to devices that wouldn't normally support them. Cloudlift currently features support for only 20 games (including Saints Row 4 and Batman: Arkham City), but OnLive's announcement states that the service will expand over time. Best of all, Cloudlift has been designed to function with existing digital distribution services, meaning that subscribers should be able to stream games purchased on Steam, Origin or any other service to any OnLive-compatible device.

Part two of OnLive's announcement details OnLive Go, an attempt at using cloud technology to reduce the hassle of getting into more "complex" games, such as those found in the massively multiplayer online genre. By streaming game content directly to players on demand, OnLive Go removes the hassle of waiting for a game to install updates or simply load a new area. As an example, the announcement mentions Second Life Go, which sees fans of the Linden Labs sandbox MMO accessing the virtual world via Android tablet.

Full details on OnLive's new services as well as information on how to subscribe can be found at the OnLive website. [Image: OnLive]

It's been nearly a decade since the final Powerpuff Girls episode aired on Cartoon Network, but the trio of plucky, color-coded heroes will return in Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville.

Details are relatively scant, but developer Radian Games describes Defenders of Townsville as "a metroidvania with flying superheroes and a heavy dose of action." Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom all feature as playable characters in the game, oiced by the actresses who lent their vocal talents to the cartoon. As you can see from the above trailer, the game features colorful, minimalist graphics designed to ape the original cartoon, but those who prefer the nostalgic joy of naked pixels will be happy to learn that the game also offers "classic-style visuals."

Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville makes its Steam debut on March 14 and will be available on Linux, Mac and PC platforms. No price point has been established for the platforming action game, but the developer claims that this information and a proper Steam page are coming soon. [Image: Radian Games]

Mining & Tunneling Simulator is Now Available on Steam!
Blast rocks, drill tunnels and force your way through every mountain. At the beginning you have enough time and no major problems. Once the TNT charges are placed you can start the blasting to create the tunnel entrance. The excavated material will be loaded by a shovel dozer on a dump truck and transported to the storage site. As soon as the entrance is cleaned up the huge tunnel drilling machine will march up. But this monster can only start operation if it is supplied with sufficient building material. This has to be delivered by crane and train. You have to steer all vehicles like the maintenance van, crane, tunnel drilling machine or the fire brigade.

An upgraded version of Drinkbox Studios' luchador action-platformer Guacamelee! is coming soon to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U, IGN reports.

Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition collects all DLC from the game's previously released PSN and Steam editions, including a selection of add-on costumes and the "Diablo's Domain" level pack. The campaign has been reworked and extended with new areas and boss fights, and characters now boast new abilities not featured in Guacamelee's original release.

A release date has not been announced, though developer Drinkbox notes that Super Turbo Championship Edition will hit digital platforms "soon."
