These Monster Hunter 3 headphones from Astro Gaming are a custom deal. It doesn’t look like they’ll be going on sale…yet. I’m sure Capcom could work some magic with Astro if they thought there was some demand.

Aksys' not-actually-very-erotic-but-being-marketed-that-way SRPG Record of Agarest War is finally coming to the North American PlayStation Store this week. Available this Thursday for $44.99, the only way you'll be able to play this game on PS3 is to download the game via PSN. However, don't expect to play the game right away. As promised, it's a hefty download: 10GB.

However, while the download is 10GB, you'll need 18GB of free space on your hard drive in order to complete the installation. To see how much free space you have, go to System Settings -> System Information on the XMB. If you plan on having the game download and install overnight, go to Users -> Turn Off System once you queue up the download, so that your PS3 can automatically shut down after installing the game.

Click to make so much bigger Boy, oh boy, is there egg all over your face. You all actually bought into last week's Xbox Live Newsbeat, which announced a new chunk of BioShock 2 DLC to be released April 29? Don't you recognize a goof when you see one? Allow us to educate you: That was totally a goof. A joke! A sham! Some good old-fashioned monkeyshines.

A 2K representative recently sent out a clarification, explaining that the Rapture Metro Pack won't arrive this week -- however, he didn't specify as to when the new content will actually arrive. Fortunately, he also sent along two screenshots from the DLC pack, which are posted in the gallery below. But what if these are also goofs? Man, we just don't know who to trust anymore.

Have you been working your way through Relentless Software's PSN whodunnit mystery game? While it took over three months for the first three episodes to cross the Atlantic to the US, we're glad to report that the final three episodes are coming much sooner. In fact, you can expect the second half of the Blue Toad Murder Files on the North American PlayStation Store this week: specifically, April 29th, according to a recently-posted tweet.

For those not in the know, Blue Toad Murder Files is a puzzle game enveloped in a wonderfully-acted murder mystery. Imagine a more British version of Professor Layton, if you will. While pricing has not yet been revealed, it will likely be similar to the first three episodes: $7.49 for each individual episode, and a $14.99 discounted bundle for the final trio.

It seems United Front Games is taking more than just inspiration from Media Molecule for their upcoming "Play, Create, Share" racer. In fact, it seems to have actually kidnapped the star of LittleBigPlanet and made him bonus DLC for the PS3 version of ModNation Racers.

According to the PlayStation.Blog, early copies of the game (marked with a special sticker) will include a code that unlocks Sackboy as a playable racer. Both pre-ordered copies and first-run copies purchased at retail will feature the bonus.

Sony seems very eager to encourage pre-orders for the upcoming racer, as Sackboy is just the latest addition to an extensive pre-order bonus campaign. Has the tactic worked, or are you still on the fence? Check out a new trailer (featuring Sackboy!) after the break.

SlickDeals tipster DJ3xclusive recently unearthed a handful of handsome discounts currently being offered by Gamestop. Anyone who enters the coupon code "15NEW" while checking out from the retailer's online storefront can save 15 percent on a few games, such as Final Fantasy XIII ($43 after coupon), GTA: Episodes from Liberty City ($28), and BioShock 2 ($38). In addition, these three games come with an additional $10 credit to be used on future purchases. Better still, the code works on pre-orders of Super Mario Galaxy 2 ($42.50), which comes with $20 credit.

The discount also applies to the BioShock 2 Collector's Edition ($68), Demon's Souls ($34) and Heavy Rain ($45), though these three don't come with the appended, complimentary 10-spot. Still, those are some pretty great deals. Or, if we could be so bold -- pretty slick deals?

Unsurprisingly, Avatar has done extremely well during its home video run. In fact, James Cameron's movie has claimed the honor of best-selling Blu-ray movie ever, beating the previous title-holder, The Dark Knight. According to a report by Variety, 2.7 million Blu-ray discs were sold in the four days since its retail release in the US. (In comparison, The Dark Knight took 18 months to sell 2.5 million discs.)

Perhaps a testament to the growing demand for Blu-ray content, Blu-ray accounted for 40% of total home video sales for Avatar in the four-day window. That's a significant increase from the 25% market share The Dark Knight claimed over a year ago.

Avatar will most likely represent yet another sales benchmark when it is re-released on 3D Blu-ray next year. Thankfully, PS3-owning movie fans are already equipped with one of the few Blu-ray players on the market that will be capable of playing that disc.

Hey PixelJunk fans,

We’re happy to announce that today, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe makes its grand debut outside the PlayStation Network! Yes, that’s right, due to popular request from you, the fans, we have twisted Sony’s arm to release the game on UMD in North America. Even better, we have squeezed the price down to just $9.99 which is an *amazing* value! Think about it: three islands and over 45 stages to play. As Monsters fans know, that means quite literally hundreds and hundreds of hours of incredible gameplay…every minute as addicting and fun as the last.

4538172017_fd2a5f46df.jpg

On top of that, full online play is supported. You can play cooperatively with anyone in the world, or just hang out in the chat rooms and watch the sports-like “ticker-tape” commentary of existing games run by. It’s a very cool new feature, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

And of course, all the money we make from Monsters is being funneled into future PixelJunk games (we have some crazy stuff in store for you!), so that’s an even greater incentive to jump to your local game retailer right now. Buy it for yourself, buy it for your family, buy it for your friends. :-)

The Halo: Reach marketing machine is working overtime this week, as Halo Waypoint will release new content everyday until the Beta launches on May 3. If that isn't a big enough tease for you, the schedule of content the team at Waypoint sent to us still has a few "To be announced" placeholders. It's bad enough Halo fans need to wait, but waiting for the content provided to help diminish the wait for the Beta is just cruel, guys. Here's the Halo Waypoint schedule of content for the days leading to the Halo: Reach Beta.

In a recent Reach ViDoc, an Avatar award is briefly mentioned by designer Luke Smith as the only thing beta testers will start with when they begin their testing duties on May 3. Halo Waypoint will also see a title update sometime before the beta launches. While it's unconfirmed if the two are related, Team Waypoint recently tweeted more "details" would be released regarding an image of a "Halo: Reach Beta Tester" Avatar hoodie recently uncovered by NeoGAF; it's looking likely that this is the gear you could be getting for playing the Halo: Reach beta. The content schedule for Halo Waypoint can be found after the break.

Now, we know that Xbox 360 Games on Demand costing $19.99 and $29.99 is nothing new, but we have to call into question the choice of that higher price point for two of the three newest games available via the service.

Far Cry 2
, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men and Shrek the Third are now on the Marketplace, as promised, all priced at $30. Three Hamiltons for Far Cry 2? That we can get behind. But the other two are definitely $20 fare, in our humble (professional) opinion. Especially since you can buy all three games new for near that price from online retailers such as Amazon.

Are you a hardcore fan of Shatter? So are we. That's why we're pretty excited that both the Shatter soundtrack and dynamic XMB theme are hitting the North American PlayStation Store this week. Featuring 14 tracks, the downloadable soundtrack will be available for $5.99 via the PSN. As a bonus, the soundtrack will come bundled with a dynamic theme and concept art. (The theme can be purchased separately for $2.99.)

Of course, some may be turned off by the asking price of the bundle, considering it costs nearly as much as the game itself. For others, this is a small price to pay to support an indie PSN dev. Check out a video of the theme after the break.
