We don't know if you guys are aware of this or not, but people really love Zelda games. Some people, in fact, love Zelda games so much that they've spent nine months completely rebuilding a Zelda game inside of a totally unrelated and entirely different game.

The Hyrulecraft project, which is currently in the middle of live public alpha testing, is a to-scale recreation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time inside of Minecraft. As you can tell from the above trailer, Hyrulecraft an impressive display of devotion to the franchise, but the team responsible has far more ambitious plans. Ultimately, they want to make Hyrulecraft "a unique Minecraft MMO experience including quests, NPCs, dungeons, free build zones, guilds, and more," according to their website.

If cuboid reproductions of Nintendo 64 games really are your bag, baby, then hit the source link for information about how you can scope out the public alpha test and download the map for yourself.

You know, we'd like to think that if our son was ever kidnapped, we'd cross continents to get him back. Abobo crosses whole dimensions in the pursuit of his kidnapped offspring in Abobo's Big Adventure, an upcoming free-to-play Flash game. He also falls onto cats from outer space and eats human heads whole in one bite, though we're not sure if that's good parenting or just being a psychopath.

Look, we're not going to sit here and pretend the Pro Skater series wasn't as much of a staple of our adolescence as everyone else's. We loved poppin' sweet kicks in 1999 and we expect to love it just as much 13 years later with Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD; especially after looking at these spot-on reproductions of the Warehouse and School 2.

Besides the Warehouse and School 2, the Mall, Phoenix, Hangar, Marseilles and Venice have also been confirmed for the remake. But honestly, we'd rather Robomodo focus on getting this soundtrack situation sorted out before they move on to paltry trivialities like "levels" or "characters" or "physics" or "skateboards."

Microsoft has turned coding into an online competitive game with Visual Studio Achievements, a plug-in that offers badges, leaderboards and the ability to share programming progress on Twitter and Facebook. Visual Studio Achievements is in open beta right now and offers 32 achievements in six categories: Customizing Visual Studio, Don't Try This At Home, Good Housekeeping, Just For Fun, Power Coder and Unleashing Visual Studio.

Some of the badges are aimed at getting coders to discover more elements of Microsoft's Visual Studio, while others are general programming milestones, such as Regional Manager -- have more than 10 regions in a single class -- and Interrupting Cow -- have 10 breakpoints (Moo) in a file.

Saints Row: The Third is about to get some big-headed Valve love from Team Fortress 2. A set of Team Fortress 2 masks will be added to the Steam version of Saints Row: The Third this Tuesday, January 17, as revealed on the Saints Row website. The masks will be added via an automatic update, so anyone with a Steam copy should get the masks upon starting the game after the update is launched.

Now, if only we could get a Team Fortress 2 voice pack, we'd be in business. Boink!

The 2.0 update for Super Mario Bros. Crossover, coming in Q1 2012, gives the homemade blend-em-up a bit more flash and a wider spectrum of nostalgia. And the new SNES and Gameboy visuals don't detract from the game's real purpose, which is to destroy that aloof minion Lakitu in new and interesting ways.

notice how the wii u that is running the game has a second controller clearly attached to it( probably for on-system charging or theft prevention) that is clearly showing the active game.

Now I'm guessing this mean the system DOES support more than one controller, or that that specific controller goes to a diffrent system and is just charging on that wii U.

weedlord bonerhitler
Nintendo said in an interview a long ass time ago that people would be able to use multiple controllers. Whether this was a change in plan, of if the original quote was mistranslated/misquoted I'm not sure, but they did later say that multiple controllers could be used.

Perhaps the PlayStation Vita's leggy 5 inch screen just isn't enough for your dedicated gaming portable needs. Perhaps -- and this is just a theoretical, of course -- you think Sony's promise of console quality games on the Vita isn't nearly as important as full-on console games on the go. Enter Razer's "Project Fiona PC Gaming Tablet." It's merely a prototype (at least for now), but this may be the go-to portable for you at some point in the future, fictional crazy person.

Razer unveiled the prototype concept this week at CES, ending an ambiguous, weeks-long promotional campaign (seen after the break). According to a press release issued by the hardware company, the Project Fiona tablet comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, and is capable of running "current-generation PC games" -- Firefall, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and H.A.W.X. 2 are shown in the teaser, offering examples of some titles that will apparently work on the device -- surprise surprise, Ubisoft is jumping at the chance to showcase its wares on a new gaming device. Razer claimed in the announce that "many" PC games will "run natively" on the device without any need for specialization.

Beyond being a super powerful gaming tablet, Project Fiona also keeps up with the Joneses by including "ultra-precise accelerometers and a highly sensitive multi-touch screen," which is intended to give developers a chance to cater their PC games to the device. It also has now de rigeur forced feedback, so you can rumble while commuting.

Unlike Razer's previous gaming prototype, the Switchblade, the company isn't giving out a hard price for Project Fiona, but said it'll be "under $1,000" when it's expected to launch in "Q4 2012."
